Wednesday 3rd July 2016: London and Madrid: Dawson, the leading manufacturer of Ka-band satellite antennas and provider of integrated broadcast transmission solutions announce a key partnership in Spain with Quantis, the market leading provider of satellite and communication solutions in the region. In collaboration, the two companies will be providing Dawson’s GC-Zero 70K KA-SAT antenna for sale in the region. The partnership was launched with the sale of five antennas to a major public broadcaster in Spain for the supply of radio contribution services via Eutelsat’s Ka-SAT satellite.
The specification of the Dawson antenna and the high level of client service and support provided by Quantis were key to the success in the public tender. The antennas will be used for audio contribution by satellite in remote areas where terrestrial Internet connectivity or traditional radio cars would not deliver the high quality signal expected.
Ian Dawson, Managing Director and Founder of Dawson comments that “we are delighted to be working with Quantis and Eutelsat in this exciting market. Our GC-Zero 70K KA-SAT antenna is designed to help broadcasters, corporate companies, emergency services and individuals with their mobile communication requirements. Our antenna has proven to be one of the most reliable and fastest deploying in the market place. We recognise the importance of Ka-Sat as a fantastic solution for both audio and video contribution in Spain. It is great to be working with the professionals at Quantis who have a fantastic understanding of the local market and substantial experience within this space.”
In words of Aquilino Antuña, Quantis Managing Director “we have been impressed by Dawson KA-SAT Systems since the first moment we tried them. They are smart, simple and robust, just what our clients demand from us. The antennas we already have on-site are being used in really critical applications, where reliability is the key feature of our solutions. Dawson technology makes the grade.”
